St Ives FC Football4All Program

  • To provide them with skills to keep fit, within an environment where they can feel comfortable and accepted.
  • To encourage and educate fair play, sportsmanship, physical fitness and above all “FUN”.
  • To foster acceptance of participants with special needs and disabilities within the community.
  • To educate Coaches & other players in the needs of players with special needs and disabilities.
  • To provide a social outlet for the families of players with special needs and disabilities.

The program runs Saturday's (April till August) from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Toolang Oval St Ives.

As a rough guide, the outline each week is:

  • First 5-10 minutes is a fun warm up;
  • Next 15-20 minutes' sees players split into small groups and will do 2-3 different training games/activities covering a range of different soccer skills and abilities;
  • The final 30-40 minutes is match time, where usually two games are played based on age and ability. Players can have a chaperone on the field to encourage them, however, our aim is for all players to be playing independently.

Players of all standards are encouraged to attend and participate to the best of their ability. The key requirement for everyone to have as much fun as possible and also get some exercise at the same time.
